Coaches:

Ariel McIntire

 Ariel has been a Tsunami cheer member since she was 7 years old and was on the mini team. She has cheered for the Tsunami team all the way through high school. She was committed to this sport as she cheered for both High School and Tsunami at the same time. She started Coaching Tsunami in 2016 and has been an assistant tumbling coach since her Junior year of High School. She has been Head Coach for the last 2 years. Ariel is certified through USASF Level 1-2 in Tumbling and Building. She has had classes through USASF in the Baseline Coach Course, Positive Coaching Alliance Course, and Safe@All-Star Course. She is currently working to certify at the higher levels this year.

Nicole Soule

She has been involved with cheerleading since she was 8 years old. She cheered for Del Norte Youth Football for 4 years and went on to be an instructor for Curry Youth Football at the age of 12 to help her sister-in-law. She instructed through 2002 until she landed a spot on the Brookings Cheer Elite Team, an all-star cheer team. In 2003, she then decided to cheer for Tsunami All-Starz, which was a new team forming in Crescent City and she was one of the original six. Nicole continues to help her community by working with cheer teams from the area. She has been a Head Coach for the last 10 years. She is also the Head Coach for the Tumbling classes. She is certified through USASF in Tumbling (L3), Building  (L3), and Toss (L3) and is currently working on certifying in the higher levels. She has had classes through USASF in the Baseline Coach Course, Positive Coaching Alliance Course, and Safe@All-Star Course.

Laurent Wanner 

Team Chiropractor/Trainer-Graduated in 1986 and has been in practice for 31 years. He also had EMT training in 1998. He treats musculoskeletal injuries and will refer for x-rays, emergency room or. He will only treat a member upon consent from the parent. He has had classes through USASF in the Baseline Coach Course, Positive Coaching Alliance Course, and Safe@All-Star Course.

Linda Wanner

Linda is the director and advisor of the Tsunami All-Starz Competitive Cheerleading. She formed this team in December 2003, to bring to our area competitive cheerleading. Linda has been involved with cheerleading for 26+ years. She was an assistant coach for the Del Norte Youth Football for 1 year. She then became the coordinator for them and stayed another 3 years. She went on to become Commissioner for Six Rivers Youth Football, in 1998. She worked hard to break the way for cheerleading in Northern California. She left in 2001, to support her daughter, Nicole, with another dream, an All-Starz cheerleading team in Crescent City! Linda is AACCA (American Association Cheerleading Coaches and Advisors) certified. She is certified through USASF in Tumbling (L1-2), Building (L1-2), and Toss (L2). She has had classes through USASF in the Baseline Coach Course, Positive Coaching Alliance Course, and Safe@All-Star Course.
